National Oil Ethiopia-NOC proudly announces commencement of its Aviation Fueling service at Gambela and Assossa Airports Effective September 7, 2011.


NOC Gambela Aviation Depot InaugurationThe event was attended by Ato Guaner Yer, Deputy President of Gambela Regional state and Ato Kinde  Haile, representing the President’s Office of Benishangul and Gumuz Regional State.

On the occasion both facilities were inspected and approved for operation by IATA’s certified inspector from Q8 International Petroleum Company in the presence of representatives from Ethiopian Airlines, Civil Aviation and Airports Administration.


IATA Certified Inspector from Q8 International conducting Joint Inspection with NOC’s Operations Manager at both Assossa and Gambela NOC Aviation Fuelling FacilitiesNOC inaugurated its first Aviation Fuel Depot and Aircraft Refueling Facility at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport on July 15, 2010.

The aviation depots and aircraft refueling facilities at both airports were carried out with an investment of 20million Birr. The Facilities comprises storage tanks with 100,000 liters capacity each with an expansion option, state of the technology aircraft refueling Hydrant System, firefighting system and in built quality control installations.

The facility has a paramount importance to the growth of the air transport sector in both Gambela and Benishangul & Gumuz Regional States and South Sudan which requires a reliable and safe aircraft fuelling service to local and regional players in the aviation industry.

NOC Assossa Aviation Depot InaugurationNOC is the first indigenous Ethiopian company to engage in the aviation fuel supply business in Ethiopia. The aviation fuel depot and aircraft refueling facility at Bole International Airport was the first Aviation Fueling Facility that was operational since November 2010.

In a related news, NOC has inaugurated four new service stations at Tepi, Agaro, Addis Ababa (New Desie Road) and Awassa (II) bringing the total number of Service Stations in its retail network to 125 offering different services to motorists and non-motorists.



AGARO NOC S/s InaugurationThe events were colorfully celebrated in the presence of Local Residents, Government Administration representatives and the Business Community.

National Oil Ethiopia has been engaged in the supply of LPGas an alternative energy source to household and industrial users. The supply of bituminous products to the road construction sector is another key area that NOC dominates in the Ethiopian Petroleum products market.

National Oil Ethiopia-NOC was established in the year 2004 with an initial invest of 100 million birr. Its current net worth is over 600 million birr with 33% market share.

Over the last six years it has paid over Birr 200 million by way of profit taxes and will also continue the growth at an accelerated pace.
